Review of Star Wars Battlefront II for PC

Earlier the Star Wars: Battlefront I for PC enabled its fans to battle through missions and settings pulled straight from the movies. After considering the huge number of requests from their fans, LucasArts and Pandemic now presents ‘Star Wars: Battlefront II for PC’ this holiday season. In order to increase the game's playability and enjoyment, many modifications and upgrades have been made in the Star Wars Battlefront II.

Star Wars: Battlefront II chases away the old Battlefront storyline. Battlefront II is based on a first-person story which follows Darth Vader's elite 501st Legion of Storm Troopers and is inspired from various books, like Timothy Zahn's and other publications - from the start and through the rest of the movie's storyline satisfying the restless hearts of many hardcore fans.

The new Battlefront II has many new missions and online battles structured in it. Now you just don’t have to destroy and hold a power generator to win online. There is much more than that. Although the continuation in the Star Wars Battlefront II does not raze the exhilaration initiate in the first team-based game to be set in the Star Wars Universe. It contains over twenty different maps, twelve of them land based and on different planets, and eight at various space-based locations. In engages the players constantly in a fight. The objective of that fight is the control of capture points.

Players reach the ultimate goal by following various maps. Each map is laid out so that the players can easily strategize a way to achieve the objective. It gives you the full control of both the infantry figures and the war vehicles. Best of all, it provides the players with an attractive objective. It enables you to jump between piloting different types of ships, including TIE Fighters, X-Wings, and a number of other famous Star Wars vessels during the space battles.

Battlefront II also allows you to form boarding parties with your friends and use them to take down an enemy's spacecraft. Or you could simply fight dog fights as per your wish. Both the land and space-based vehicles will have a real upgraded and super fast speed and maneuverability. Moreover, it supports 16 players for PS2, 32 for X-box, and 64 for PC users for online play.

Players can choose one of two different strategies. Those players who enjoy face-to-face combat can employ a series of dogfights as a way to conquer the enemy forces. The vehicles participating in these dogfights could be star destroyers, frigates, or even smaller, flea-like fighters. The game players are free to use any combination of those vehicles that they choose An alternate strategy, one that requires a bit less fighting, involves the use of subterfuge. The player who has chosen this strategy must sneak onto an enemy craft and destroy it from the inside. Battlefront II increases the excitement of this subterfuge by creating ships that are scaled to appear very much like the real thing.

If one is very well skilled at subterfuge, one can even steal fighters. This really adds to the fun of Battlefront II. The one drawback to the game Battlefront II is the fact that it has a limited number of figure types. Players control only pilots and marines. If a fighter needs to be repaired, then the pilot has to repair it himself.

Another complaint expressed by some Battlefront II players is that all of the maps lead to similar multiplayer matches. What changes is the planet over which the battle takes place. And there are 24 different possible battles scenes, 24 different possible planets, including Mustafor, Utapau and Coruscant.

So, if a team of players, or if a single player, is very good at strategizing how to capture points, what do such individuals get as a reward. In Battlefront II the reward for gaining a certain number of points is the chance to have one player as the hero. The number of heroes is limited by the restriction of one hero per side per match. The hero is not that much more powerful than the other characters, but the enemy needs to unite if it wants to succeed at defeating the hero.

What Makes Final Fantasy XI So Special

Final Fantasy XI is a brilliant game and is distinguished in all manner of ways. It is beautifully made and its world has been designed with great care and thought on every level. It is a deeply satisfying and enjoyable experience with much to offer to its players. It is truly a special game.

Final Fantasy XI is special because it is a cross platform title. It is possible to access the world of Vana’diel on both PC and PlayStation 2, which makes it a cutting edge and innovative piece of work. It was the first massively multi-player online role-playing game to do this. Its game world is open to players in America, Europe and Japan, and it features an amazing online community. The game includes a translator so you can communicate with the Japanese players and interact with each other.

Final Fantasy XI has a strong social aspect to its gameplay. It is possible to play with your friends and this can be useful when it comes to forming a party to complete challenges in the game. The interaction in the game also allows you to befriend other players and get to know them. People are always happy to talk to you and are very helpful if you are having any problems. Vana’diel is one of the warmest of all the online game communities and it is a pleasure just to be there.

Final Fantasy XI is addictive and engrossing. It is a game that can be played for a long period of time and still maintain your interest. Indeed, it is so absorbing that you could literally play it all day. The game’s storylines will really draw you in and capture your attention. There are a variety of quests and missions in the game, and they include things like looking for objects and tracking down people. You will also carry out conquests for your government. There is a nice diversity of tasks on offer.

There is great imagination on display in Final Fantasy XI. The creatures and races that inhabit Vana’diel are all very intriguing. The five main races are likeable and individual enough to satisfy any player. The Beastmen that you encounter make for riveting opponents, comprising an assortment of animal, demon, giant, orc and undead creatures. You will come across all manner of characters as you proceed. The game’s array of species creates a sense of a fantastic and original world.

Final Fantasy XI has beautiful graphics and is remarkable on a visual level. Vana’diel is a handsome world. The countryside areas in particular are lovely to look at, with the terrain encompassing features like beaches, canyons, jungles, oceans, and waterfalls. It can be very gratifying to observe something as simple as the sun rising and setting. The character design is of a fine quality and the different creatures have an appealing style and look to them. They move well and come across as graceful.

The game world in Final Fantasy XI is deep and vast and rendered in great detail. You move around mainly by walking and here the game creates a convincing sense of distance, space and perspective. Vana’diel is enormous and feels like an actual place. The sense of realism is strong and shows the excellent design of the game. While walking around on foot is pleasant it can also take time, so there is transportation like airships, ferries and chocobo creatures to carry you as swiftly as you like.

The Final Fantasy series is renowned for its music and Final Fantasy XI is highly proficient in this department. The game features a wonderful soundtrack with a score that is played at numerous points throughout the game. There are also ambient sound effects that stem from your environment as well as things like the noise of battle. These give the game serious atmosphere and presence.

Final Fantasy XI is an extraordinary title. It is a game that is peerless in every way and that represents the best of its kind. There is a magic and beauty to it that is rare, and everything about it combines to create a tremendous experience overall. It should definitely be considered a special game.

The Future of World of Warcraft

World of Warcraft is a landmark game and has been a sensation in its first year of release. As it proceeds through its second year, it is likely to continue its success and see its fan base become even greater. The game world of Azeroth is also set to grow, as a new game expansion is coming to enhance the World of Warcraft experience.

World of Warcraft’s challenge in 2006 will involve maintaining its success. When the game first came out, it wasn’t clear how it would perform. Blizzard Entertainment were confident in the game and had great hopes for it, but the gaming world was uncertain, wondering how well the traditional Warcraft elements would fit with an interactive online world. It actually worked brilliantly, and so the game took off.

Now the question is whether this is sustainable. It is extremely likely. By this point, it is clear that World of Warcraft is not simply a passing craze but rather a title with serious, long-lasting appeal. The game saw huge international growth in 2005 and in the early weeks of 2006 has already reached 5.5 million subscribers worldwide. The game has built up major momentum and it does not feel like it has peaked. Its sales are in great health, and more and more people are becoming interested in it.

World of Warcraft should see its subscriber base grow even further. It is impossible to predict the future, but it is plausible that it could reach a figure of 6 to 7 million subscribers in the course of the new year. It is important to consider that a number of countries received the game later than America, so there is much potential for growth, as in global terms it is a relatively new game. It was only in November 2005 that it launched in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, so to those markets it is still a fresh title.

The most crucial development for World of Warcraft in 2006 is the upcoming expansion, The Burning Crusade. This title will incorporate elements from a previous game, Warcraft 3, by including the former villains, the Burning Legion. It will add a new playable race to both the Alliance and the Horde, with the race of Blood Elves confirmed as joining the Horde. It is set to raise the game’s level cap to 70 and open up the area of the Outlands. The planned content and features look very promising.

It is interesting to consider how the World of Warcraft expansion will be received.
It should satisfy people, as it will offer growth and variety to the whole experience.
It will be fascinating to see what new race is joining the Alliance, and it will be intriguing and different for the Horde to have their own “pretty” race in the form of the Blood Elves. In general, the expansion is a good thing and will give the game more depth. It should make the game more appealing to players.

World of Warcraft will also see its influence grow in 2006. Its success has inspired the game industry to develop similar titles and explore where the role-playing genre can go. There are games in development that intend to follow Warcraft’s lead. The title “Borderlands” from Red Mushroom is one such example. This massively multi-player online role-playing game aims to refine its genre even further, by making the game play more competitive and ruthless. It will be interesting to see how it performs.

World of Warcraft has a lot to look forward to in its second year. The subscriber base for the game should grow, as it is now a genuine mainstream success. The expansion will be the most significant update to the game yet. It is clear that World of Warcraft will continue to prosper and will be around for a long time to come.

Girl Gamers In World Of Warcraft

To the dismay of much of the population of World of Warcraft, and the online community, girls do play video games. What makes a girl play a game online? Are they looking to pick up boys? Are they so socially inept that they can’t talk to anyone in the real world? Are they just plain ugly? Or are they really just a guy pretending to be a girl? None of these things are true. They play the game for the same reason everyone plays. They play for entertainment. Though women in the real life are striving for equality in a male dominated world, and arguably making progress, the ladies playing online games have a much harder task in front of them.

The exact ratio of female players to male players in WOW is not known, but it is a far lower number than in the real world. Roderick, of the Mal’Ganis Server estimates, “I’d guess I know maybe ten girl players on this server.” Roderick ran a guild of over 200 people, that’s a staggeringly low percentage. With that sort of male saturation, girl gamers can have a tough time breaking into the “boys club” that exists beneath the surface.

The male population of the any online community, WOW included, is highly competitive, and the general feeling in an aggressive activity is that girls cannot perform on the same level as boys. On the virtual battlefield its far from true, but girl gamers are still considered underdogs and have to prove themselves worthy. They may come under harder scrutiny simply because they are female.

Because of the disposition some of the guys have on women gamers; some girls actively try to hide their gender. This isn’t hard, since according to Cezzani of Mal’Ganis, “Ninety percent of female characters are played by ten percent of the guys.” Whether or not those figures are close to accurate, the point remains the same. There are enough girl characters running around WOW that a real female can hide her gender simply by not admitting to it.

Those that hide their gender do it for a reason, to avoid the stereotypes and sexual harassment. It may be due to the age or maturity of the individual talking to the girl gamer, or perhaps because there are seemingly no repercussions in an online community where you can log off and not have to deal with the consequences. WOW has a strict policy against any sort of threatening or hurtful communications that removes the anonymity from it. In severe cases Blizzard will revoke the players account, taking away their character and possessions. But the same problems that exist in the real world exist in the virtual world. Many of the women who go through the torture of this abuse will never report it.

The male gamers must learn respect for the female gamers. They are not there simply to pick up guys nor as part of the entertainment for male players. They don’t want to be hit on, or asked what they look like in real life. They will accept kindness, and will often times be friendly, but that is no indication that they are less of a gamer than anyone else who plays in a virtual world like WOW.

PSP Blender Review

There is nothing like having the hottest new PSP games as soon as they hit the market. Unfortunately I have found, as I am sure you have that they are really hard to get your hands on. And if you are interested in all of the hacks and cheats well then good luck! Finding them is like trying to find a needle in a haystack! I can’t tell you how many fingers I have worn raw trying to get the info I need for my PSP.

All of that changed though when I stumbled across this great site. It was a total fluke and I love it! Is it PSPblender. This site has everything that I need to keep my PSP fresh and exciting. There are literally millions of files for me to choose from on any given day and I have in hog heaven.

I take my PSP with me everywhere that I go, it is a better friend to me than my cell phone or my ipod even, that is how joined at the hip we are. If I couldn’t get new games and stuff for it I don’t know what I would do. That is why I was so stoked about this great site. At PSPblender I can get everything I need for my PSP and all I have to pay is one introductory price. It is a lifetime membership that allows me access to all of the new content as well.

What makes PSP such a great system is all of the different things that you can do with it. You can do so much more than just play games and that is why it is so popular. You can even make your PSP all your own with unique graphics and more and they have everything that you need to do all this at PSP blender. You know how computers have desktops and backgrounds well you can get them on your PSP too. It cool, the graphics are amazing.

But what really makes PSPblender such a powerful site is the fact that it can do so much for you. It has everything from television to movies to games and wallpapers. You can amuse yourself for days on this site, I know I have. I love gaming and I spend a lot of time on this site now.

But my favorite part of PSPblender is the section of cheats. Who doesn’t want to know how to finally kick a** on their favorite game? There are awesome cheats on PSPblender for some of the hottest games. You have some wicked ones for Armored Core, Ultimate Block Party and even a bunch of Sims. I LOVE Sims! There are also plenty of Harry Potter cheats and Kind of Persia cheats as well as all kinds of great Kingdom of Paradise cheats. There is no better way to get ahead of the pack and learn to play the games better than to get a membership at PSPblender.

I got my membership a while ago and I have not regretted it at all. I have learned so much in the time I have had on the site and I still have a lot left to do. It is not a site that you can bleed in a day, it is going to take you some time to plumb the depths that PSP blender has to offer you and your PSP.

I would definitely choose this site if I was looking for new PSP info again, it is more than worth the little bit of money they charge. Just look at all you are actually saving. Have you taken a look at the cheat books and the game magazines these days? They are costing a ton of cash but on PSPblender it is all free. Just pay a small one time fee and you are set for life!

Taking Down Ragnaros In World Of Warcraft

In the mythology of World of Warcraft, Ragnaros is know as the Firelord. In Ancient times, he fought in the name of the Old Gods against the Titans. Eventually, his power was sealed into the Molten Core. When a dwarf unlocked the bindings holding Ragnaros captive, Ragnaros began to create an army of living stone. The Molten Core is the easiest of the raid instances Blizzard has provided its maximum level player, but is by no means a push over. The key to many of the boss encounters in Molten Core is teamwork and cooperation. Getting forty players all on the same page in regards to who does what and when, can be a taxing task. It is essential during the Ragnaros fight that everyone is playing to their top game. If one player fails at their role, the entire raid can crumble.

The fight doesn’t start until a player, usually the main tank, talks with Majordomo Executus, the boss right before Ragnaros. This allows the leaders to talk about the strategies they will use, and placement of the group. The room is huge, after all, it is the domain of a fire god. There are rock outcroppings sporadically placed along the edge of a spiraling land mass surrounded by lava. As the spiral pulls towards the center, where Ragnaros will eventually be, it becomes very thin. The main tank and off tank both stand fairly close to each other at the tip of the spiral. The melee group positions itself further back on the spiral, near the last outcropping before the spiral begins to tighten. The ranged damage players spread out over the rest of the board, within range of the soon-to be target. The healers assigned to each group get close enough to heal their players. All players prepare for one of the most awe inspiring moments in WOW.

The Ragnaros encounter has two stages that will repeat. The first stage is an all out brawl where Ragnaros will take as much damage as you can dish out. In this stage Ragnaros has a couple of attacks in his retinue. The Wrath of Ragnaros is signaled by speech and text saying, “Taste the Flames of Sulfuron.” This attack knocks back all players within melee range, potentially throwing them into the lava and out of the fight. All melee except the main tank back out before wrath occurs. Ragnaros will use wrath every 25 seconds. It can be resisted, so having the main tank in fire resistance gear is mandatory, and melee damage suggested. If the main tank resists wrath, the melee fighters can run right back in and join the fight. If the main tank is thrown, the off tank runs in and picks up Ragnaros, and the melee group gives him a few seconds to gather more threat. Ragnaros also throws a fire ball at ranged fighters, damaging then, and knocking everyone around them into the air. This attack does not affect the person it is casted on, but those around him, thus why the ranged units must be properly spread out. This first stage lasts for 3 minutes. If the group hopes to take down this powerhouse of WOW, he needs to be at or below 40% life at the end of 3 minutes.

Stage 2 is known as the Sons of Flame. When Ragnaros retreats, he spawns 8 small fire elementals to attack the raid party. They don’t do much damage to melee fighters, but they do have a nasty aura effect seen elsewhere in WOW that steals magic users mana, and damages them for it. Each warrior in the group, ideally four to five, should try to grab and hold two Sons. Healers need to keep the warriors alive, so they can hold them while the rest of the group takes out the Sons one by one. Ragnaros returns to the playing field after a minute and a half or when all sons are dead. It is a good idea to have a Warlock banish one of the sons, giving everyone a moment to get back into position before Ragnaros returns.

Hopefully in the transition between stage 1 and stage 2, many of the players survived. If too many died during either stage, the remaining portion of the Ragnaros fight becomes exponentially harder. When Ragnaros pops back up, it’s the same fight as stage 1. If the group was abe to get Ragnaros down to about 40% before he sank back into the lava, chances are they can do the remaining damage within 3 minutes. When Ragnaros dies, prepare for a lot of congratulations, great loot and look forward to a long raiding career in WOW.
