PSP Popular As Ever A Brief History

Ever since its’ release in December 2004, the Sony PSP (play station portable) has
proved to be extremely popular, amazingly with people of all ages and not just the
targeted groups of the younger at heart.

This handheld game console product of Sony Computer Corporation took the market by
storm and has never looked back since. It is amazing how in thios day and age when
experts are repeating often that the days of mass production and mass appeal
products are over, that one product should receive such widespread acceptance.

From Japan, to the United States and the European Union, the Sony-PSP has sold
briskly from the day of launch. Even onto further corners of the world like
Australia and even parts of Africa, this product has proved to be amazingly
popular and in great demand. Not many products can enjoy such wide appeal across
such a vast, varied terrain across literally the whole globe. The Sony PSP is
truly an amazing product.

For the uninitiated, the PSP comes in approximately 2 different versions. Firstly
there is the value pack, which is also referred to as the core pack, then we also
have the Giga pack. Contents of the Core pack package include the game’s console,
battery, 32 MB memory stick duo, earphones with remote control, slip case and a
wrist strap. In some areas customers will also be able buy this pack accompanied
by a sampler disc. The price for this very popular pack is now $199.99 in most
parts of the United States. In the United Kingdom, it typically retails at 149.99
British pounds. In Canada PSP buffs would have to shell out CDN $299.98 while in
Japan the price is 25,040 Yen and Australian dollars $399.

An interesting addition into the market that has now amazingly filtered to many
other parts of the world was the release of the white ceramic version of PSP which
happened only in Japan and South Korea. However, as would be expected from a
product with such a cult following as the PSP, the white PSP has somehow found
its’ way into many different countries and today you will find it virtually in
every corner of the world including the United Kingdom and many parts of Europe.
This is clear enough evidence that the PSP is no ordinary product hence its’
extraordinary history thus far.

The white PSP is of course an exact replica of the usual black one except that the
box, system and slip case are all in white instead of black.
